That I can move beyond
My like and dislike
my fear or distrust
…That I can acknowledge my emotions
Yet not give up responsibility towards outcomes

That my determination wins over my reluctance
And my optimism wins over the circumstance
Showing up when every excuse not to
would work equally well
Says that I am in control
that I can let go of short term pain
For something more important
..with an eye on the longer run
